DIY Painted Pumpkins
When did Halloween become such a big deal in Australia? I feel like it wasn’t even a thing when we were kids. But times, they are a-changin’.
Halloween in our street is a really big thing - both trick-or-treating and decorations. When we first moved in, we were immediately told to take it seriously or there would be a mob of angry, sugar-fuelled kids on our doorstep 😳
Given my house is full of boys (read: trucks, dinosaurs) I decided to make my decorations pretty. Spooky? Probably not. But I’ll be sure to scare some kids with my angry mum costume (is it really a costume tho?) on Halloween Eve.
Needed:
- 3 x Coles jack-o-lantern pumpkins
- 3 x tubs of sample paints, chosen from Bunnings Warehouse - approx $5 each Bunnings Warehouse. See steps below for the paint details.
- 1 x brush, decent size and quality
- Paint 2 coats, dry & display ❤️
